2022 was a somewhat full year of games, some all time classics have been released and a lot of hyped up releases!
This list is not put in any sort of order.
Elden ring
Elden ring is a 2022 highly anticipated souls like, made by from software!
Elden ring was really anticipated by many people, and it did not disappoint!
It feels like a culmination of everything from software learned while making rouge likes, The scale of the game is insane, the bosses are tough, but fair and feel fun, it's overall just a really well rounded game!
Lego star wars: the Skywalker saga
Lego star wars, is the newest Lego game, with reimagined combat, great visuals, and fun missions, this game is the first time The Lego games have been a huge deal in years, and the nostalgia to the classic games is used really well here, along with all the cute call backs. This game covers all of the main star wars movies, and it's really fun and enjoyable up until the prequels, where you can feel that they did not have much to say. at least for the first movie in the prequels as I haven't beaten it yet.
Splatoon 3
Splatoon 3 is the newest Splatoon game! It is very similar to Splatoon 2, With a new story, new movement mechanics, More customization, I did not get to play it, as when it came out I was doing a move from my switch to my new steam deck. Although I have a very close friend who loved Splatoon 3, and I do know a lot of the new stuff added!
Dying light 2
Dying light 2 is the much anticipated sequel to dying light, It was very hyped up, and people did love the original game, When It released it had a positive rating, but most people were very disappointed. The game was considered good but not great by most people, which sucked because the original was great and was very highly looked up to.
God of war: ragnarok
I've already talked about this game for the review of November, So I will keep it short here.
God of war ragnarok is the sequel to God of war 2018, Which was One of the best play station exclusive games! And God of war Ragnarok, released this year, And Is looked upon just as highly as the original!
Cult of the lamb
Cult of the lamb is an indie rouge-like and tycoon mix-up game, You play as a lamp, who starts a cult, and gathers new members, by going through dungeons and saving them, In this game you have to make sure people don't turn on you, so you have to keep everyone happy, with food, and shelter. It is a very interesting game!
The Callisto protocol
The Callisto protocol was a very hyped up game, with hopes of it being like dead-space.
the game released in an unplayable state, with lag and stuttering being huge problems with the game, this has apparently been fixed, where the game now has a more controversial standing, with some people loving it, and others still hating it.
Verdict
2022 Has had some great games, I look forward to 2023!
